let’s take a quick glance at what happened on the reprise of april 21, 1975 …

.

NYY 100 002 011 - 5 8 0
BOS 000 000 011 - 2 8 0

NYY: Dobson (W, 1-1) 7.1, Lyle (Sv 2) 1.2; Munson 9.0
BOS: Lee (L, 1-2) 8.0, Pole 1.0; Montgomery 9.0

NYY HR: White (1), Nettles (3)
BOS HR: None

The fierce rival between these two clubs continues.  Taunts and jeering were said
to be heard during pregame warm ups.  When game time started, the Yankees drew first
blood with a walk by Roy White who scored on a Nettles single.  New York added two more
in the top of the sixth with Bonds doubling Munson home and then scoring on a sac
fly after stealing third base.  Solo homer by White and Nettles sealed the deal.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MIN 201 000 100 - 4 8 0
CAL 000 001 000 - 1 7 0
MIN: Butler (W, 1-0) 8.0, Burgmeier (Sv, 3) 1.0; Borgmann 9.0
CAL: Hassler (L, 0-2) 5.0, Kirkwood 2.0, Scott 2.0; Rodriguez 9.0
MIN HR: Hisle (2)
CAL HR: None
Minnesota kicked it up a notch facing the Angels of California.  They plated two in the first
inning and played great defense behind Bill Butler, who was making his first start of the season.
Butler was able to make it through eight before turning the ball over to Burgmeier.  The lefty
landed his third save of the season.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TEX 000 000 000 - 0  8 0
OAK 000 121 02x - 6 10 0

TEX: Bibby (L1-2) 7.0, Umbarger 1.0; Sundberg 8.0
OAK: Odom 4.0, Hamilton (W, 1-0) 3.0, Fingers 2.0; Tenace 9.0

TEX HR: None
OAK HR: Jackson (5)

Oakland sent Blue Moon Odom to the hill for a rare start. The typical long reliever was able
to give them four innings of mediocre ball, but failed to give up a run. In fact, the Rangers were
kings of the "left on base" category today. They managed to strand fourteen batters without
scoring a solitary run. Hamilton worked three innings to garner the win while Jackson went
long again for his fifth home run this year.

Kansas City at Chicago was canceled due to weather (using AS PLAYED schedule)
